医学病原生物学是由医学微生物学与医学寄生虫学整合而成的一门预防医学与基础医学的必修课，是研究引起人体疾病的生物病原的学科，是临床感染性与传染性病学及公共卫生医学的基础课程。生物病原包括病毒、细菌、真菌、原虫、蠕虫、致病或媒介医学节肢动物。本课程讲授病原生物的生物学特性、病原微生物及寄生虫与宿主及环境相互关系、致病因素及致病机制、实验诊断、流行病学、预防与控制。本课程包括理论讲授与实验操作，适于基础医学、临床医学、预防医学、口腔医学、护理学、医学检验、法医学等专业的学生，将讲授医学微生物学与医学寄生虫学总论、病毒学、细菌学、真菌学、原虫学、蠕虫学、医学节肢动物学等专业基础知识。 Medical pathobiology is an integrated and compulsive curriculum of medical microbilogy and medical parasitology. It usually comprises part of preventive medicine and basic medicine, aslo considered the importrant foundation of the cilinical infectious or communicable disease and public health sciences, which studying the biological cause to human disease. The pathogenic organisms include viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, helminths, medical arthropods, which cause disease or transimit pathogenic organisms to human. The contents of the curriculum include the biological features of pathogenic organisms, the relationships between pathogenic microorganisms or parasites and hosts and their environment, the pathogenic fators and the related pathogenisis, the laboratory diagnosis, the transmisson and prevalence, and the prevention and control of the diseases infected with pathogenic organisms.
